Green smoothie with shrimps


  • 1 green apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 kiwi, peeled and chopped
  • 1 bunch of spinach
  • 1 bunch of kale
  • 1 small handful of parsley
  • Juice from half a lime
  • 1 teaspoon of honey (optional, to taste)
  • 1/2 cup of water or apple juice
  • 200 g of 16-20 count shrimp, peeled and deveined MyFood
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Olive oil


Prepare the smoothie ingredients: Place all the smoothie ingredients (apple, kiwi, spinach, kale, parsley, lime juice, honey, water or apple juice) in a blender. Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Add more water or juice if necessary to achieve the desired consistency. Put  smoothie to serving glasses. Prepare the shrimp: In a large saucepan or skillet, heat some olive oil. Add the peeled shrimp and sauté for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve the cooked shrimp alongside the glasses of green smoothie. You can garnish the smoothie with additional herbs, spinach leaves or slices of kiwi if desired. This delicious and healthy combination is perfect for a summer meal. Enjoy!
