Skewers with shrimps

  • Ingredients:
  • For the skewers:
  • 500g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers
  • For the creamy sauce:
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)


Preparing the shrimp: In a large bowl, mix shrimp with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Marinate for about 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Assembling the skewers: Thread shrimp, chunks of red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper, and onion onto skewers, alternating.

Grilling the skewers: Preheat grill or grill pan. Grill skewers for about 2-3 minutes on each side until shrimp are pink and well cooked.

Making the creamy sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add chopped garlic and sauté for a few minutes until garlic is fragrant and softened. Then, add heavy cream, salt, and pepper to taste. Cook over low heat for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.

Serving: Serve the shrimp skewers with the hot creamy sauce. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for extra flavor and garnish.
